VACANCIES FOR BEACH LIFEGUARDS

Applications are invited for the posts of Summer Beach Lifeguard from individuals who, by virtue of their citizenship are entitled to take up employment, and who are, or will be on appointment, resident in Gibraltar.

 

1. Applicants should be in possession of the National Beach Lifeguard Qualification. However training will be provided for those not qualified in order to attain said qualification prior to commencement of work. Applicants should be physically fit, good swimmers and be bilingual in both English and Spanish, competence in any other European language would be an advantage. Successful applicants should be available to work from:

     a) Easter weekend (30th March to 2nd April) and weekends and public Holidays thereon.

And/or

     b) 9th June 2018 for the entire official bathing season.

 

2. Lifeguards will work a maximum of 42 hours per week. The hourly rate of pay will be £6.68.

3. Successful applicants may also be responsible in assisting in the running of the Accessible Units, if and when required; training for such supervision is incorporated in the generic training.

Applications are invited for the posts of Summer Pool Lifeguards from individuals who, by virtue of their citizenship are entitled to take up employment, and who are, or will be on appointment, resident in Gibraltar.

4. Applicants should be in possession of the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. 

5. Applicants should be physically fit, good swimmers and be bilingual in both English and Spanish, competence in any other European language would be an advantage. Successful applicants should be available to work from 9th June 2017 for the entire official bathing season. 

6. Pool Lifeguards will work a maximum of 42 hours per week. The hourly rate of pay will be £6.68.
